Hatsu was born and raised in Western New York. At a very young age, Hatsu realized the importance of being your own boss and started his first business at 12 years old, selling jumbo pops out of his classroom. Due to dealing with a rare sleep disorder known as Kleine Levin Syndrome (KLS) since he was 16 years old, Hatsu realized many of the problems with traditional 9-5 jobs, such as the lack of flexibility and personal time off. As such, Hatsu ventured into real estate and other business opportunities (multi level marketing and investing) early on. While working a sales job in late 2014, Hatsu ventured into the e-commerce space and started the family’s business selling on the Amazon platform. When his first daughter was born in November 2014, Hatsu refused to return to work within the two week time frame his job allowed and he was fired. Since then, he’s decided to be his own boss and to make money on his own terms while helping others break free too.
Christina was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Unlike Hatsu, Christina was not selling candy to her classmates at a young age. Having seen what life was like in the “barrio,” Christina was more of a book nerd who focused on school to ensure success and a way out. Given her life experiences, Christina chose to attend law school and became a juvenile rights lawyer, representing abused and neglected children in Brooklyn Family Court. When she returned to work after the birth of her first daughter in 2014, Christina struggled with the guilt of helping children at work all while missing her own daughter grow up. And despite loving the practice, Christina made the transition from being a full time lawyer to working from home in order to spend more time with her family. To date, she has not regretted this decision to pursue an alternative career path through Amazon and has learned that success is not just about your credentials and/or job, but rather how you define it and how you want to live your life!
Today, Hatsu and Christina have grown their Amazon business into a million-plus dollar business and feel very fortunate to be able to work from home and raise their daughters together, living the life they want on their terms!
